Titanium
forging is the product of a metallurgical process in which titanium is given
a particular shape by the application of a strong compressive force. The
pressure applied during the metal forging process shapes the titanium and also
causes plastic deformation in the grain structure of the metal, so that the
grain flow follows the shape of the piece. Thus, forging is both an efficient
way of forming titanium as well as a way to improve its directional strength. The
forging process can create parts that are stronger than those manufactured by
any other metalworking process.

have invested heavily in our titanium forging machinery and have a range of hydraulic
forging machines from 1600 to 4500 tonnes. We can machine forged titanium
forging items as per customer’s drawings. TNTI have a full inventory of
standard casts and molds for titanium ring, titanium target and titanium disk and also offer bespoke
part titanium forging and titanium casting for engineered designs. We may also
provide the mold a separate component as part of product deliverables. We take
special measures to ensure that our titanium forging are cleaned properly and carefully
inspected before shipment.
